About Me.

I’m Auberon, a psychotherapeutic counsellor based in Huntingdon, near Cambridge. I work with people both face to face and online, offering a calm, steady space where you can speak openly without feeling judged or rushed.

Clients often tell me they value a grounded, genuine presence someone who listens closely, stays present, and helps them make sense of what lies beneath the surface of their experience. This shapes the way I work, allowing space for reflection while moving at a pace that feels right for you.

I came to counselling later in life, drawing on decades of lived experience around resilience, change, and honest rebuilding. Before training as a counsellor, I worked in the creative industries as an art director, designer, and artist. This background continues to inform my therapeutic style, encouraging curiosity, collaboration, and attention to subtle emotional detail. I also maintain my own creative practice, which helps me stay reflective, grounded, and engaged in the counselling room.

My approach often resonates with people who experience the world differently, including clients who identify as neurodivergent, as well as those who feel they don’t fit neatly into conventional expectations.

Over time, I have gained experience working with anxiety, OCD, ADHD, dyslexia, self-worth, eating disorders, addiction and recovery, confidence difficulties, personality-related patterns, relationship issues, boundaries, and mindfulness. These experiences shape a way of working that is thoughtful, grounded, and empathetic, while remaining clear and practical.

At Start Therapy, I offer a supportive space where you can feel heard and understood as a whole person. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, low mood, overwhelm, relationship difficulties, or a sense that something isn’t quite right, we can explore this together safely and at your own pace.

I am fully qualified and insured, an Accredited Registrant with the NCPS and an Individual Member of the BACP, working in line with both organisations’ ethical frameworks. I hold an enhanced DBS, keep my safeguarding training up to date, and engage in regular supervision and ongoing professional development, ensuring my work remains ethical, reflective, and responsive.
