Talking is the key. Hearing oneself speak is a very important part of getting to know oneself, deepening the primary relationship – the one with ourselves.

Being heard and being witnessed is also a very important element in the healing process. Creating a safe, confidential space in which this process can be housed. I will invite you to tell your story, your sense of how you got where you are today, what you are feeling and what you don’t want to be feeling.

I will help you heal through relating, which means that I bring myself into the therapeutic relationship with you, making use of body and mind connections to explore the presenting difficult issues, sharing my responses, thoughts and feelings with you.

As an ‘Integrative therapist’, I draw upon a combination of ideas and techniques and I work with you as a whole person, paying attention to both the physical and psychological processes and how they are connecting together. My therapeutic work is grounded in Contemporary Psychotherapy which is an integrative solution-focused model that combines and utilises the main models of psychotherapy; from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Humanistic and Existential theories and is outcome-oriented.

Let's start a healing conversation

About me

I was born in Poland where I gained a substantial medical education and worked for many years supporting vulnerable adults as part of a healthcare team.

I completed a bachelor’s degree in custodial education and continued my studies to complete a Master’s degree in social rehabilitation. My post-graduate studies concentrated on counselling and psychotherapy, where I trained in a pluralistic approach specifically concentrating on an outcome-oriented approach to psychotherapy.

I graduated with Diploma from BeeLeaf Institute in Contemporary Psychotherapy.

I am a registered Member of BACP, an accredited Member of The National Counselling Society and a full member of Community for Contemporary Psychotherapy and abide by their code of ethics.

How can I help you?

It can be hard to reach out when you are in need of help. The best way to start to heal is by simply talking things through. Let's start your healing process by taking this first step.

The work of therapy is there to help you understand yourself, the way you are in the world and to potentially reconnect you with long-lost feelings. Connecting you to what is emotionally true can be both calming and revitalising and can support you to think with more flexibility and help you to develop emotional resilience.

Therapy takes place over an appropriate period of time for each person and is flexible according to your needs and resources. It can be short term - usually 6 to 12 sessions structured and focused on solving the identified problem or situation. Or it can be long term - lasting from a few months up to a few years, helping to explore more deep-rooted issues or difficulties.

Psychotherapy can support you with a range of issues. The following is an example of some of the issues that people may wish to seek therapy for:

Family and relationship issues or difficulties
Sadness, depression, emptiness
Lack of confidence, low self-esteem, issues around self-worth
Self-harm or suicidal thoughts
Anxiety, stress, panic or fear
Trauma
Abuse – sexual, physical, emotional, financial, bullying
Obsessive or addictive behaviour
Identity, belonging, motivation and purpose
Loneliness, isolation, intimacy and connection
Bereavement, loss and grief
Illness, death and dying
Work-related issues or stress
Life transitions and change
Existential issues – the meaning of life

Please contact me with a little bit about yourself and I will be happy to discuss how we might work together. Please give me a call or if you prefer simply email me.
