My therapeutic work is grounded in Contemporary Psychotherapy which is an integrative solution focussed model that combines and utilises the commonalities of the main contrasting and effective models of psychotherapy; from modern modalities of psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and Systemic NLP (Neurolinguistic Psychotherapy) and is outcome-oriented, meaning we agree on what we are working towards as an outcome of therapy.
Originally, I completed a bachelor’s degree in custodial education and then continued with my studies to complete a master’s in social rehabilitation. My post-graduate studies concentrated on counselling and psychotherapy, where I trained in a pluralistic approach specifically concentrating on an outcome-oriented approach to psychotherapy. I have a substantial medical background and worked for many years supporting vulnerable adults as part of a healthcare team.
I am currently counselling NHS clients and have a particular interest in Grief and Bereavement counselling.
I graduated with Diploma from BeeLeaf Institute in Contemporary Psychotherapy.
I am a registered Member of BACP, accredited Member of The National Counselling Society and a full member of Community for Contemporary Psychotherapy and abide by their code of ethics.
